VOID SEER
See beyond the veil and bend probability
"You think I react? No. I already saw this."
Void Seers are reality's editors. They do not bend space with power, they bend decisions, reactions, and time itself. These are the tacticians and prophets of the Voidstriders, manipulating outcomes through insight and timing rather than force.
To some, they are advisors and visionaries. To others, they’re terrifying, seeing your move before you make it, rewriting the moment you act.
Many Void Seers speak of layered timelines, of alternate versions of the self, and of paths they didn’t take. Their minds stretch across too many moments. They survive by anchoring to a few.
Void Seers are not born, they awaken. Whether drawn into the rift willingly or touched by it through dreams, proximity, or ancestral memory, these rare individuals emerge with fractured perception and piercing clarity. Where others see a linear world, Void Seers perceive a thousand shifting threads, each a path not yet taken, a moment echoing from futures that may never be.
Their gift is not mere foresight, it is presence unbound. Time to them is a landscape, not a line. They walk through solid matter by stepping between seconds. They dodge bullets fired moments ago. They answer questions before they are asked.
Most who brush against the Void are broken by it. The Seer endures, but not unchanged. Their eyes shimmer with static light. Their voices sometimes echo with overlapping tones. Their thoughts drift, caught between now and what could be.
Feared by those who don’t understand them. Revered by those who’ve seen them act. The Void Seer is a walking paradox: fragile yet untouchable, soft-spoken yet devastating. A guide through chaos, a weapon against entropy.
They don’t predict the future. They choose which version becomes real.
LEVEL 1
Clear Foresight
Optional Trigger"The Seer isn’t dodging. You’re just attacking a moment that’s already passed."
— Translation: Echo Scroll, Temporal Temple Vault 6
To outsiders, a Void Seer seems to anticipate the future—but in truth, they see all possible presents. With Clear Foresight, they shift subtly out of sync with cause and effect. An attack that should have hit—doesn’t. A trigger that should have fired—misses. It's not luck. It's inevitability, seen early.
When targeted, you may make the attacker take a Void Reading(tn10 + your Foresight) test.
On a failure:
The action misses entirely—the Void Seer is untouched.
On a success:
The effect resolves as normal.
This does not consume a use unless the ability successfully triggers (i.e., they actually fail the check).
Cannot be used while Stunned, Prone, or Unconscious.
Time Dampener
Optional Trigger"Time is a river. Sometimes, the Seer just makes the current ripple around them."
— Scholar Vanna Drelt, _Temporal Mechanics and You_
Void Seers don’t just see the future—they manipulate its flow. With Time Dampener, they briefly distort the velocity of time around themselves, dulling blades, slowing bullets, and letting impacts land with softened force. It's not quite armor—it's temporal misdirection.
The Void Seer can slow the moment of impact, reducing the force of incoming Physical Damage.
When hit by a Physical attack, you may reduce the damage taken by (Foresight÷ 2).
You may use this ability a number of times per day equal to your Foresight Mod.
This ability applies after Damage Reduction, but before resistances.
Void Blink
"To the Void Seer, space is a suggestion. Where others walk, they simply choose to be elsewhere."
— Archive Fragment, _Chronicles of the Warp-Walkers_
Void Blink is more than movement—it's a distortion of presence. Void Seers unravel the threads of local space, reappearing an instant later with eerie silence. Whether dodging gunfire or slipping through a collapsing corridor, they walk a path no one else can follow—because they don’t walk at all.
Instead of moving normally, the Void Seer may choose to teleport.
This teleportation allows them to ignore obstacles, walls, terrain, or elevation—as long as the destination is within line of sight.
Their total movement distance becomes (Foresight Mod × 5ft) while moving this way.
LEVEL 2
Foresight Scan
Action"Time leaves footprints for those who know how to listen."
— Seer Yelvannis, during the Whispered Trials
Void Seers perceive more than just space—they read the scars of time. When they concentrate, echoes of the past emerge like mist through the veil. Footsteps retrace, doors creak open again, voices reverberate faintly in the air. It is not memory—it is presence, misaligned by moments.
Witness translucent afterimages of activity from the last 10 minutes
Includes movement, environmental changes, and vague emotional traces
Spoken dialogue is only revealed if supported by psychic residue or technology
Temporal Aftershock
"Some ripples bruise the skin. Others twist the soul."
— Voidstrider axiom, etched in fractured glyphs
When a Seer shifts between locations, they create friction in the fabric of realspace. This lag is not physical—it is cognitive. Nearby minds stutter, muscles misfire, and reaction times warp. It is the price others pay for standing too close to a breach.
Target must pass a Void Reading test (tn10 + Foresight)
On failure, their Movement is reduced by 10ft until end of their next turn
Temporal Instincts
Reaction"I don't dodge danger. I arrive somewhere else."
— Operant Ilyen, during breach of Riftpoint Gamma
Time itself whispers to the Seer's bones. Their body moves before thought finishes. Bullets miss because the Seer was never there, and pain is halved by simply not being present for it all. It is not strategy—it is inevitability.
+2 to Initiative
Halve the incoming damage
Teleport 5ft in a random direction (Scatter Die); stop at solid surfaces
LEVEL 3
Entropic Veil
"I'm not hidden. I'm forgotten."
— Seran Vel, Echo Fugitive
The Void does not cloak its Seers in darkness. It obscures them in probability. Enemies find their vision dimmed, their certainty muted, their focus just slightly... off. The mind convinces itself that nothing important lies ahead.
Attacks made against you from more than 20ft away suffer -1 to hit
Quantum Mirage
Reaction"I don't run. I relocate the idea of me."
— Elya Voss, Rift Operative
Void Seers can project false echoes into the weave of time—a fleeting image, a fractured self, a trick of perception that makes enemies doubt their own senses. These mirages flicker just long enough to draw fire away from the real threat.
Summon a decoy image of yourself within 10ft
Attacker must pass a Void Reading test `(tn12 + Foresight)`
On failure, they hit the illusion instead
Does not work against area-of-effect attacks or attacks made without line of sight
Temporal Anchor
Quick Action"If I make a mistake... I just don't."
— Seer Iven, trial journal entry
By rooting themselves in a moment, a Void Seer gains the power to reject what follows. Injury, death, or poor decision can all be erased by snapping back to the precise instant they chose to mark. Time rewinds, but only for them.
Set a temporal anchor at your current location
For the next 10 seconds (2 rounds), you may return to this location as a Quick Action
Anchor fades after use or after time expires
LEVEL 4
Clear Foresight (Improved)
Optional Trigger"The present can be ignored. The future cannot."
— Archivist-Priest of the Glass Moon
Where once the Seer had to ration their foresight, now they act with a steadier stream of clarity. Threads of probability flicker constantly, weaving moments of precise reaction through their every move.
You may now use Clear Foresight a number of times per day equal to your Foresight
Still requires you to declare use before the flip is revealed
Dimensional Slip
"A near miss isn't luck. It's design."
— Sashik Thorne, Rift Diver
The Void Seer doesn't just avoid danger—they relocate to a safer timeline. When an enemy narrowly misses, the Seer pivots not with reflex, but with preemption, slipping through cracks in causality itself.
You may immediately use Void Blink for free
Glimpse the Future
Action"The first decision is the only one that matters."
— Juna Keth, former Navy tactician turned Seer
The Seer can peel back the moment before they commit. Possibilities unfold like petals, showing hints of what might occur if they choose one path over another. Not all visions are clear—but none are false.
Ask the GM: 'What will happen if I do Action in the next 10 seconds?'
The GM gives a truthful, possibly cryptic answer
Reveals short-term consequences only—not long-term impacts
LEVEL 5
Improved Statistic
"Your edge isn’t always a weapon. Sometimes, it’s just being better than you were yesterday."
— Universal Tactica, Entry 5.01: Growth Beyond Gear
Every cycle survived, every challenge overcome, every system pushed to its limit—it adds up. Whether your body has hardened, your mind sharpened, or your instincts honed, you've reached a new threshold. This isn’t just improvement.
This is advancement.
Increase any one Statistic by +1
You may not exceed the stat cap of 6
This increase reflects physical, mental, or cybernetic growth—interpret freely during character development
Ripple in Time
Reaction"I delay the inevitable. Or bring it early. It's the same."
— Void Sermon, verse 8
The Seer taps a delay into the timeline, causing events to echo out of sync. Actions ripple forward or backward through causality, letting them control when effects take root.
Delay the outcome of an Action (yours or another's) by 1 round
Action still resolves automatically next round, unless otherwise interrupted
Useful for healing, tactical delays, or syncing team movements
Void Mirror
Reaction"Your hand moves. Your mind follows. But I moved first."
— Seer Talven, battlefield transcript
In the blink of a moment, the Void Seer folds the attacker's intent inward. What was meant for them is redirected with a subtle twist of fate, turning aggression into self-destruction.
Redirect the attack to another target within 10ft of the original
You may choose the attacker to strike themselves instead
Only functions on missed attacks made by a creature, not traps or terrain
LEVEL 6
Blink Strike
Optional Trigger"A shadow of a strike. A moment out of order."
— Tactical report, fallen commander's final words
The Seer does not chase targets—they arrive beside them. Emerging from impossible angles, their strikes land before the enemy even registers a threat.
You may make a Attack as a Quick Action after using Void Blink
If attacking from behind the target, gain Advantage on the attack
Chrono Impression
Action"Every object holds the memory of a moment."
— Void Seer meditation scroll, excerpt
By aligning their essence with something recently touched by another, a Seer may tune their senses to experience that person's recent perspective—just enough to learn what the object witnessed.
You briefly perceive the world through their eyes
This does not read thoughts but offers visual and emotional impressions
Useful for piecing together recent actions or environmental details
Fragmented Self
Action"I am watching. I am waiting. I am already there."
— Whispered mantra of the Riftbound
By splitting their perception, a Void Seer can project an invisible fragment of their mind across space. This phantom presence sees and hears everything, relaying perfect intel without putting the Seer at risk.
You leave behind an invisible, immaterial fragment of yourself for 1 hour
You may see and hear through it at any time
When the effect ends, you retain perfect recall of everything the fragment observed
LEVEL 7
Chrono Snap
Action"Time stutters. Then it overcorrects."
— Void Seer Ilaryn, timeline deviation notes
The Seer can fracture another's place in time—causing them to skip a beat, lose the thread, and then slam back into action with disjointed force. To observers, it looks like hesitation followed by panic.
Target must pass a Void Reading test `(tn12 + Foresight)`
On failure, they skip their next turn
They act twice on the following round instead
Does not affect legendary or timeless entities
Flicker Step
"I don't hide. I become unimportant."
— Seer Veylen, Disappearance Protocol
In crowds and chaos, the Seer's presence becomes statistically irrelevant. People's minds slide over them, failing to notice until it's too late. This is not stealth. It is probability denial.
Creatures must pass a Void Reading test `(tn12 + Foresight)` to notice you
Does not apply if you take direct hostile actions or call attention to yourself
Can be used to avoid detection in tense or populated environments
Paradox Step
Reaction"Two bodies, one space. Reality blinks first."
— Riftblade journal, last page recovered
A Void Seer may not always displace their enemies with force. Sometimes, they displace them with contradiction—by appearing where someone already stands, and letting the universe resolve the conflict by knocking the target flat.
Enemy must pass a Void Reading test `(tn12 + Foresight)`
On failure, they are knocked prone
Does not deal damage but may interrupt enemy positioning or actions
LEVEL 8
Chrono Extraction
Reaction"Time owes me interest. I take it where I will."
— Whispers of the Rift-Touched
Even in defense, the Seer finds momentum. When they dampen damage, the energy is not wasted—it's redirected, becoming a blink of motion, a moment's escape, a tactical gain.
You may immediately Void Blink
Fractured Time
Reaction"If death is coming, I'll wait until it passes."
— Seer Vahrel, survivor of the Black Singularity
Rather than absorb the blow, the Seer vanishes. They exit the timeline just long enough for the threat to pass, leaving only an echo in their place—and return when the danger has moved on.
You disappear from the timeline for 1 round
Reappear within 30ft at the Start of Turn
You cannot act, be targeted, or take damage while vanished
Probability Warp
Reaction"The cards are marked. I'm just the one who gets to look."
— Void Seer Tamas, laughing during a losing hand
Luck is just another law waiting to be rewritten. In the heat of battle, the Seer reaches out and bends chance—forcing fortune to blink twice, and choosing the better outcome.
You may force a Reflip of any check (yours or an ally's)
You choose which result to keep
Cannot be used on an enemy's flip
LEVEL 9
Break the Odds
Reaction"Success is just failure with a better story."
— Seer Eliran, exile from the House of Mirrors
When the future turns against them, a Seer may simply reject it. They declare victory—and the universe, begrudgingly, agrees. But there is always a price.
You may declare the failed roll a success
The GM introduces a complication as a consequence
Example: You succeed in hacking the system—but trigger a silent alarm
Quantum Uncertainty
Optional Trigger"You can't lock the door if I'm not observing it."
— Ciphered Void Seer communique
The Seer can slip between probabilities, existing in an indeterminate state. As long as no one watches, their form becomes incorporeal, allowing them to walk through walls as if they were memory.
You may pass through solid objects such as doors, walls, or cages
The effect ends instantly if you are seen or directly targeted
Cannot be used while being observed
Spatial Cleave
"My blade doesn't move. Space does."
— Seer-Adept Kroven, Void Combat Trials
To the Void Seer, space is negotiable. Their strikes do not travel the distance—they arrive at the destination by folding space around the attack itself.
Melee has an extra 5ft range.
If you used Void Blink this turn, this range increases to 10ft
This attack ignores cover
LEVEL 10
Improved Statistics
Whether through relentless training, neural recalibration, cybernetic tuning, or sheer survival instinct, you've reached a new level of multi-channel optimization. This isn't a simple stat boost—it’s an evolutionary step, one that reinforces multiple pillars of your being.
You’re not just better.
You’re more.
Increase two different Statistics by +1
No individual stat may exceed the cap of 6
This improvement can represent:
A blend of mental and physical growth
Dual-core cybernetic upgrades
A mutation-enhanced progression
Or a culmination of your narrative arc
Override Reality
Action"I don't see the future. I write it."
— Void Seer creed, Final Initiation
With mastery over time and fate, the Seer transcends prediction. They do not read possible futures—they command one to occur. The cost is precision. The power is certainty.
Declare a single specific, reasonable event that occurs within the next 3 turns
The event must affect only one target, object, or effect
Cannot declare victory, death, or total nullification of a major foe
Examples: 'The enemy's weapon jams,' 'That crate topples over and reveals a medkit,' or 'I see the flaw in their armor.'
Time Dilation
Action"Three actions. One breath. One moment."
— Chrono-Seer Ren of the Orbital Depths
The Void Seer pushes the boundaries of personal time, creating a microfield where they exist in triplicate action while the rest of the world crawls. To observers, their movements blur, impossible to follow.
For 3 turns, you may take an extra action each turn
Enemies have Disadvantage when attempting to target you
